Bata Shoe Museum, Exhibit A: Investigating Crime and Footwear
If you enjoy crime dramas and love some good fashion then you must see Bata Shoe Museum’s new exhibit, “Exhibit A: Investigating Crime and Footwear.” Learn how footwear forensics plays a role in solving crime and the development of footwear from the nineteenth century to today. It will also shed light on how clothing and footwear are used when it comes to cultural ideas of criminality. The exhibit is open now and tickets can be purchased at batashoemuseum.ca.

Bammy Fridays
Vibe to some Caribbean tunes at the Drake Hotel for the first of its Bammy Fridays series. Happening every third Friday of the month, guests can escape to an island state of mind with DJs and a live band. Enjoy Jamaican culture and music at its finest at the Drake lounge.
Doors open at 10 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door.

The Music of Star Wars
Calling all Star Wars fans! Embrace the force with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra as it transports you to a galaxy far, far away. This concert includes John Williams’s Academy Award–winning music from all nine films in the saga from A New Hope to The Rise of Skywalker. The show starts at 8 p.m at the Roy Thomson Hall. Tickets range from $80 to $160.

Saturday, April 20:
Cherry Blossom Season at Colborne Lodge
Visit Colborne Lodge to enjoy the return of the beautiful cherry blossom season. At the lodge, guests can learn the history of High Park’s cherry trees and walk through its museum for free. Guests can also create their own haikus and have them displayed. The Colborne Lodge Museum is open from 11 to 4 p.m.

Earth Day at Evergreen Brick Works
Bring your family and friends to Evergreen Brick Works for Earth day celebrations. Visitors can immerse themselves in the nature surrounding the park as well as take part in a full day of family-friendly workshops and activities that promote sustainability. It’s free to attend and the event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show
Spend an unforgettable evening at Holiday Inn Toronto where they’ll be hosting The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show. The evening will include mysterious characters, hidden agendas and thrilling twists. Throughout the night, visitors will be on the edge of their seats as they try to guess the murderer. The show starts at 9 p.m. and ends at midnight. Tickets are $125.50 USD.

Sunday, April 21:
Earth Day at Arcadia Earth
Go on a multi-sensory journey at Arcadia Earth ahead of Earth Day. This augmented reality experience showcases the beauty of the planet and provides tips for a sustainable future. And in celebration of Earth Day on Monday, there will be a limited number of free admission tickets at the door! Arcadia Earth is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 7p.m, Fridays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m, and weekends (Saturday: 12 to 10 p.m., Sunday: 12 to 7 p.m.). The exhibit is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Barkada Market at Stackt
Head over to Stackt market for its Asian-themed day. In collaboration with Barkada market, Stackt is inviting you for a fun day of shopping, music and delicious food. Visitors can shop from over 30 local vendors offering everything from clothing and jewellery to home decor, and treat themselves with some Asian cuisine. The market is free to attend and is from noon to 6 p.m.

RECESS – Adult Activity Day
Gather your friends for an adult activity day at Pursuit OCR where you can compete in dodgeball, drift racing and a crazy obstacle course. Organized by Side Missions, this event is all about strengthening friendships, making new ones and enjoying good vibes. Tickets are $37.46 each and the fun starts at 5 p.m.
