It’s the weekend we’ve all been waiting for: Halloweekend is here! The city is bustling with endless events to ensure you have a spook-tastic Halloween celebration and we’ve rounded up some of the most exciting ones to make it easy for you to decide. This week, there’s Halloween parties, haunted mazes, festivals and ghost walks. 

Friday, Oct. 27:

Toronto Halloween Boat Party

Begin your Halloween partying along the waterfront at a Halloween Boat Party organized by Jubilee Queen Cruises. The celebration claims to sell out every year, so better get your tickets while you still can. The party starts at 8:30 p.m and ends at 2 a.m.

Ghostly Walk through Old Town

Explore the ghostly haunts of the Old Town of York from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Toronto’s First Post Office. The tour will include creepy ghost stories, haunted locations and tales of the town’s dark history.

Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland

It’s the final weekend of Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland, so better savour its Halloween attractions while you still can. The theme park offers seven mazes, terrifying scare zones, hundreds of monsters and some amazing live entertainment. A reminder to guests, make-up/costumes are not permitted and you must arrive prior to 11 p.m for entry. Tickets are $50 each.

Saturday, Oct. 28:

Halloween Howl – High Park Nature Centre

Bring your family and friends to Halloween Howl in High Park on Saturday where they can go on a hike, cozy up around a campfire and make Halloween themed art. Attendees are encouraged to bring anything they would like to roast, however roasting sticks, hot chocolate and marshmallows will be provided. Costumes are also strongly encouraged.

Second Annual Halloween Haunt UP Event 2023

The second annual Halloween Haunt UP event is taking place at 14 St. Clements Ave. from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. This free event includes tons of fun activities for all ages, such as face painting, spooky slime making, pumpkin carving, a kids costume contest, trick or treating and more.

Halloween Food Truck Festival

Variety Ontario is inviting you to its third annual Halloween Food Truck Festival happening all weekend long at 3701 Danforth Ave.. This year, the event promises new activity additions such as a Halloween movie screening, costumes, treats and live entertainment. Donations are $10 minimum per person and go towards Variety Ontario’s unique programming for individuals with disabilities.

TRICK-OR-TREATING IN THE VILLAGE!

The Bloor West Village has organized Trick-Or-Treating In The Village where you can enjoy a free trick-or-treating session along the neighbourhood’s 30 businesses. You can wear a costume, bring a pet and even receive a free digital photo by their professional photographer behind their fall backdrop. Attendees can meet at Bloor St. W. and  Willard Ave.

Sunday, Oct. 29: 

Kensington Market’s Pedestrian Sundays

On Sunday, you can enjoy the very last Pedestrian Sunday at Kensington Market from 1 to 7 p.m, where residents can roam the neighbourhood’s streets car-free. To end the series, there’s going to be a costume contest outside vintage store Courage My Love at 4 p.m.

12th Annual St. Joe’s Toronto West Halloween Fest

St. Joe’s Toronto West Halloween Fest is back at CF Sherway Gardens on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free, family-friendly event gives kids the opportunity to dress up and show support for kids’ care at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. This event includes a trick-or-treat trail with Sherway retailers, a video booth, face painting, a costume contest and more.

Riverside C’MON Sundays: HOWL-O-WEEN Mini Fest

Riverside BIA is hosting a HOWL-O-WEEN mini fest that features a free pumpkin patch, live Halloween music, a quiz game with prizes, and sweet treats, among other activities. The event is being held at Riverside Common Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
