‘Heated Rivalry’ author to release final ‘Game Changers’ series book

After TV popularity, the seventh – and final – book in the queer hockey series will be published in September.

Heated for hockey smut? Game Changers series author Rachel Reid is internationally launching a new book, Unrivaled this upcoming September.

Less than two months into its launch, the Heated Rivalry TV series has become a big hit, and is already getting renewed for a second season, which will explore the bestseller’s sequel The Long Game (2022).

Crave announced the new season last month and has yet to confirm a date for the launch. 

Harlequin Books will be publishing the final installment of the hockey series Heated Rivalry, titled Unrivaled, in 2026. 

This will be author Rachelle Goguen’s, known under her pen name Rachel Reid, ninth published book, the seventh in the series.

From following the journey of fictional hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov going from rivals to long-term lovers to openly celebrating queer love, the next phase of this love story will follow how they navigate discrimination in the hockey world related to their sexuality.
