Canada is about to participate in its first Eurovision Song Contest ever, and Canadians have an opportunity to choose which artist will represent their country in its historical debut.
The five Canadian artists in the running to participate in what is one of the world’s biggest musical competitions were revealed on Tuesday.
These names were selected among 325 artists who submitted their applications for the contest earlier this year. The finalists were chosen by CBC/Radio-Canada’s music teams and an expert jury, who evaluated vocal quality, experience, stage presence, and their potential to deliver a killer performance.
Fans now have a chance to vote on which of the finalists they would like to represent the country for a chance to bring home the iconic crystal microphone trophy.
