A video festival devoted to all things cats is happening at Toronto’s Hot Docs Theatre this month and it’s going to bring the most unique feline content.

CatVideoFest 2023 consists of a 70-minute-reel of family-friendly cat videos that will be screened multiple times from Aug. 4 until Aug. 18.

Organizers say the compilation reel includes only the best cat content carefully chosen from countless hours of online submissions and the finest the internet has to offer.

It’s clear the festival continues to be a cat-tastic success since it’s been held in over 200 theatres in North America and over 100 theatres in Europe.

Every year, CatVideoFest also raises awareness and money for cats in need around the world. That is why a percentage of proceeds from each event goes towards local animal shelters and/or animal welfare organizations.

In 2019 alone, the organization raised over $50,000 for local shelters. At the Toronto festival, 10 per cent of ticket sales will be donated to Toronto Cat Rescue.

CatVideoFest is committed to bringing together a community of cat lovers and their shared appreciation for cat videos.

Tickets are $15 each and can be bought here.
