Taylor Swift announced Thursday morning that she will be playing six shows over the course of 10 days at Toronto’s Rogers Centre in November 2024, which will close out the final leg of her ‘Eras Tour.’

Fans of Swift were left feeling snubbed after Canada was initially excluded from the year-and-a-half long international tour, which kicked off in March of this year in Glendale, CA.

News of the extension means Swift will wrap up the critically acclaimed show in Toronto, the only Canadian city to be added to the list. She also announced the addition of more shows in the U.S.

“Turns out it’s NOT the end of an era. Miami, New Orleans, Indy and Toronto: The Eras Tour is coming to you in 2024 with @gracieabrams!,” she tweeted.

Twitter users expressed their excitement as the news broke.

“6 days in Toronto ?! Whaaaaaaa,” one person wrote.

“GIRL, SIX TORONTO DATES IS NOT CANADA,” another user said, expressing frustration that the “Shake It Off ” singer will not be performing in any other Canadian cities.

“Our Queen never stops giving to her fans,” another person wrote. Last month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted at the pop star with a mix of paraphrased lyrics from her songs, asking her to consider coming to Canada.

“It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon,” Trudeau wrote.

The Rogers Centre has a capacity for over 50,000 people, and Swift will play the venue over two three-day stints, the first from  Nov. 14 to 16., and the second from Nov 21, to 23, 2024. The only other cities to get six shows in the tour are LA and Singapore.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, August 9. Ticket registration for Toronto is already open.
