2026 Korean Minhwa Invitational Exhibition

The Women’s Art Association of Canada is pleased to host the 2026 Korean Minhwa Invitational Exhibition, presented in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Centre and organized by the Cultural Business Promotion Association (Korea).
This special invitational exhibition brings together approximately 50 Korean artists presenting traditional Minhwa reimagined through contemporary perspectives. Rich in symbolism and cultural history, Minhwa reflects everyday life, wishes for prosperity, and protection, while continuing to resonate within today’s global Korean Wave.
Featuring works by invited artists including Seongmi Cho, Kang Lee, and Okgeum Kim, the exhibition highlights the enduring appeal and evolving visual language of Korean folk painting, bridging tradition and modern expression.
