A Soulful Wintry Evening With Kurdish Kamāncha

A VIBRANT IMAGE OF KURDISH MUSICAL THEMES UNDER THE MYSTERIOUS POWER OF WINTER WILL BE REVERBERATED ON SHAHRIYAR JAMSHIDI’S SOLO KAMĀNCHA AND VOCAL PERFORMANCE.

The award winer, composer, kamānche player and singer, Shahriyar Jamshidi reverberates his solo instrumental performances on Kamānche (spiked fiddle) to highlight Kurdish musical heritage and present a part of West and Central Asian musical culture. In his Kurdish Kamānche recital, he shares a taste of Mesopotamian culture alongside the capability of the Kamānche as a solo instrument. 

Shahriyar performs improvisation pieces, his compositions and epic Kurdish vocal songs on his Kamānche and singing those lyrical tunes.
