Since 2001, the “A Taste for Life” (ATFL) annual event have raised more than $1.5 million for Fife House’s housing programs and services in support of people and families living with HIV/AIDS. Fife House is enormously grateful and very appreciative to all of our restaurant partners, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who have supported this wonderful initiative over the years.
The concept is simple: Restaurant establishments in Toronto partner with Fife House to host A Taste For Life, and in so doing, commit to donating a portion of their sales for the event to Fife House. Friends and supporters of Fife House are encouraged to make reservations and/or drop in for a delicious meal during A Taste of Life at any of the participating partner restaurants. In addition, diners are also encouraged to make individual donations to Fife House as well.
The event began in 1999 as a joint fundraising initiative between Bruce House and the Snowy Owl AIDS Foundation in Ottawa, and has since grown to include other organizations across Canada. In Toronto, A Taste For Life is organized by Fife House, in partnership with various restaurant partners, and all funds raised locally goes towards Fife House.
