Toronto Welsh and Addoldy Cymraeg present Côr y Penrhyn—one of Wales’s oldest and most distinctive male choirs—for a special Toronto performance.
With roots going back to the 1880s, in the slate-quarrying Welsh village of Bethesda, Côr y Penrhyn is known for its powerful sound, deep community roots, and boundary-pushing collaborations. The choir made history as the first Welsh male voice choir to appear at Glastonbury, performing with Blur frontman Damon Albarn and his band The Good, the Bad & the Queen.
Grounded in Welsh choral tradition, the group brings bold energy to every performance—classical works, folk tunes, or modern commissions written just for them.
