May 23 @ 10:30 am12:00 pm

May 23, 2026 | 10:30am – 12:00pm
Wychwood Park, Toronto
Tickets: $100

Support DesignTO’s charitable programming while gaining rare access to a remarkable private residence in Toronto’s Wychwood Park neighbourhood. The Montague House tour is a special fundraising event, with proceeds directly supporting DesignTO’s year-round work advancing design and creativity in Canada. A charitable tax receipt will be issued for the allowable portion of each ticket.

This one-of-a-kind experience offers access to the home of collector Dr. Kenneth Montague and artist and educator Sarah Aranha. Originally designed in 1919 by Arts and Crafts architect Eden Smith, the house has been carefully restored and expanded by Studio for Contemporary Architecture to accommodate a growing family and an extensive collection of art, objects, and design.

Spanning 5,000 square feet across three levels, the home is conceived as a setting for living with art. Works from the renowned Wedge Collection are integrated throughout, reflecting Montague’s commitment to championing Black artists and fostering dialogue through his work with Wedge Curatorial Projects. Thoughtful architectural interventions create layered sightlines and moments of pause, framing the collection within contemporary living spaces.

The tour will be led by the homeowners, architect Tura Cousins Wilson, and DesignTO Artistic Director Deborah Wang, offering unique insight into the design process, the evolution of the home, and the role of collecting in shaping space.

Attendees may request a certificate for 1 hour of structured continuing education following the tour. Guests will also receive a complimentary gift from Aesop.

Space is limited. Advance registration required.
