Drama, Grace & Glory will open the GTPO’s 2026–27 season with a program that celebrates the expressive power and emotional breadth of the orchestral repertoire. Under the baton of conductor Oliver Balaburski, the orchestra will be joined by Toronto-based young bassoonist Abby Minor in Hummel’s elegant Bassoon Concerto, showcasing the virtuosity and lyrical qualities of this rarely featured instrument. The concert will begin with Beethoven’s dramatic Coriolan Overture and conclude with Brahms‘s richly textured Symphony No. 3, creating a compelling journey from intensity and heroism to warmth, lyricism, and triumph.
