Centennial College’s Museum and Cultural Management postgraduate students are excited to announce their student-led exhibition Eras End, Stories Live On: The Life and Times of the Story Arts Centre on Feb. 19th with an opening night reception from 6-7:30pm at the Story Arts Centre.
The exhibition will chronicle the building’s creation and evolution. The first showcase will focus on the building’s historical legacy from 1915 to 1955 when it became the Toronto Teachers’ College. The second showcase will focus on 1989 to 1991 when the building was used for the set of CBC’s Degrassi High. The final showcase will focus on modern day as the Story Arts Centre, Centennial’s downtown communications, media, arts & design campus (1994 to current day). The exhibition will feature archival videos, scripts, costumes, publications and photos.
