UPtown Yonge BIA is inviting the community to come together for a free outdoor Football World Cup 2026™ Watch Party on Friday, June 12, celebrating an afternoon of sport, entertainment, community pride, and neighbourhood connection.
The event will feature a live stream of the Canada vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina match, bringing fans together to experience the excitement of international football in a shared public space. Guests can also enjoy pre-game and halftime entertainment designed to keep the energy high throughout the afternoon.
As Toronto proudly prepares to host FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches, this event offers residents and visitors a chance to be part of the excitement and celebration happening across the city. This is an opportunity for the community to come together, cheer for Team Canada, celebrate Toronto as a FIFA 2026 host city, and experience the spirit of the World Cup™ close to home.
The watch party will take place at the Basketball Court, 20 Castlefield Ave. The event begins at 1:30 PM, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs, mats, food, flags, and noisemakers to help create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Alcohol will not be permitted on site.
