This summer, Labyrinth Ontario reignites its Modal Music in the Parks series with 4 outdoor concerts in RV Burgess park.
For the second performance in this series, we are excited to present the Gaitan Quartet. This group consists of passionate musicians exploring the rich and complex sounds of Macedonia: Ben Grossman (Tapan and hand percussion), Chris Aston (Tambura), Brenna MacCrimmon (Tambura and vocals), Nick Ouroumov (Gaida).
We can’t wait to share more about this group in the coming weeks! Their story is truly special.

Don’t miss this series of performances highlighting cultures from Europe, Western China, through Central and South Asia. Each is distinctive, but related through the modal music system. Labyrinth Ontario actively performs this centuries old practice, while renewing it through contemporary interpretations and new compositions.
Modal Music in the Parks is kindly supported by Toronto Arts Foundation’s Arts in the Parks, Toronto Arts Council, and Toronto’s Parks, Forestry and Recreations.
