This summer, for a limited time, it becomes the setting for Love Park Pond Yacht Sailing for Toronto 2026, a playful and unforgettable outdoor experience celebrating the spirit of the World Cup of soccer.
On select dates in June and July, visitors of all ages can rent beautifully crafted wooden pond yachts and set them sailing across the water, inspired by the beloved Luxembourg Gardens sailboats in Paris. These are real wind-powered yachts with no motors, guided only by the breeze and a simple wooden stick used to help navigate them from shore.
Each yacht proudly carries the flag of a participating World Cup nation, turning the pond into a joyful celebration of international connection, friendly competition, and cultural pride. Whether you’re cheering for your home country, supporting your favorite team, or simply discovering something new, the experience brings people together in a way that feels both nostalgic and completely fresh.
