Photography Comes Alive with Dance, Music, and Spoken Word Performances
Heliconian Hall in Yorkville hosts LUMINOUS 2025,
a photography show including Ekphrasis – responses of other artists (dancer, musicians, writers) to visual art (photography).
Opening reception: Saturday, October 4, 2025, 2 – 5 pm.
Nine photographic artists join together with professionals in the fields of dance, poetry, drama, and music
to present an afternoon of visual art with Ekphrasis performances in response to the photographs.
Photographic artistsare Linda Briskin, Brianna Caryll, Lucie Collins, Martha Davis, Vivian East,
Kye Marshall, Jana Skarecky, Patricia Stamp, and Henrietta Walmark.
Performersresponding to the visual works are
dancer Brianna Clarke, musicians Taivi Alexander, Kye Marshall and Jana Skarecky,
dramatists Angie Littlefield and Annie Rosenberg,
and poets Kate Marshall Flaherty, Bianca Lakoseljac, JC Sulzenko and Donna Wootton.

Two unique performances begin at 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
