In 1928, composer Maurice Ravel toured North America. Most of the documentation available covers the American portion of his tour, but Ravel also performed in Canadian cities and collaborated with Canadian artists during his visit.
Music historian, Susan Spier, will give an overview of this tour, including its social and historical context and some of the mysteries surrounding Ravel’s brief visit to Canada.
This event will take place in the Beeton Hall, on the ground floor of Toronto Reference Library.
This is a free event. No tickets required. No registration required.
