Not Dead Yet! is hosting a benefit for PARC, on July 23rd, with 9 MILLION, S.H.I.T., SIYAHKAL, DUCHESS, DIATRIBE and DJ MEG REMY.
PARC (Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre) has been a force in Parkdale for almost 50 years. They have spent those years providing support for people facing mental health and substance use challenges, homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity. They provide two hot meals a day, housing support, employment support and, most importantly, community.
At PARC, the act of walking through the door qualifies people to receive the support they’re looking for. It’s a drop-in space with art and recreation, as well as case management, harm-reduction, and employment services. It’s a community of people looking out for each other, built on the simple idea that everyone deserves a home, a job, a friend and a neighbourhood.
PARC are literal neighbors of many of the people playing this show. All proceeds from this event will be going to PARC to support their initiatives and to continue supporting our most vulnerable neighbours. This is meant as a true show of support, by the community for the community. This is a great way to prove it, with numbers.
Tickets are on sale now. The fine folks at Dice have waived ticketing fees for us on this one. You will only pay the mandatory tax + credit card processing. There are $30 tickets, $20 tickets for students, and a $60 pay-it-forward ticket that will allow a member of PARC to attend free of charge.
