Discover the world premiere of Parḗlios, a bold new Canadian English language opera by composer Cecilia Livingston and librettist Duncan McFarlane. Blending opera, installation, and oratorio, Parḗlios explores themes of migration, climate change and humanity’s connection to our planet earth through an immersive mix of music, movement, and visual storytelling. With percussion, choir, and contemporary dance woven into its fabric, the work creates a vivid, transformative experience that pushes the boundaries of the operatic form.
