Join us as we celebrate the opening of Ranbir Sidhu: No Limits with an exciting night of live music. Hamilton-based music collective ShaaMaa will perform live in Walker Court beginning at 6pm. This all-ages event is free for AGO Members, Annual Passholders, and with General Admission. Cash bar onsite.
ShaaMaa is an instrumental music collective and sonic exploration, rooted in profound, improvisational dialogue.
Featuring Willy MacAulay (guitar), Cesar Cordoba (keys, synths, accordion), and Gurpreet Chana (tabla, percussion, electronics), their disparate musical practices naturally bled into an emergent, wholly original soundscape from the creative crucible of Hamilton’s Cotton Factory after an introduction by the group’s recordist, Glen Marshall. Together, they are guided by the belief that music itself is the only composer.
ShaaMaa crafts evolving soundscapes that defy genre limits, inviting the listener into an intimate sonic space of communal creation. Their recent live album releases; ShaaMaa Live at Grand River Arts Festival (March 2025) and Radiance (November 2025) are further testament to this and their trust in music to guide where it wants to take them and you, the listener!
