This author talk will address the experiences of families who are caring for a loved one who is living with dementia, including the various points of stress, as well as the various points of joy, and ways in which caregivers learn to survive the experience. Major topics include understanding the diagnosis, communicating with the loved one, choosing an assisted living facility, and using music and the arts as a means of connection.
