THE ANIMATED GARDEN, BY MOONLIGHT BALLET
The Animated Garden is an ode to Le Jardin Animé, a jewel of the classical ballet repertoire first presented in Marius Petipa’s 19th century revival of Le Corsaire. Moonlight Ballet reawakens this living garden in a new light.
The story begins in the present day and follows the fates of three artists, but reality and imagination begin to blur. Inspired by the theatrical spectacle of the Gardens of Versailles, the journey unfolds through a sequence of shifting scenes—ornamental pathways, curated florals, exquisite sculptures, and dramatic fountains.
