Join award-winning director, writer, and choreographer Sandra Laronde for an evening exploring the creative journey behind She Holds Up the Stars — her acclaimed novel, now reimagined for the stage.
Laronde will share insights into the making of this multidisciplinary production, presented by Red Sky Performance. Since its stage debut earlier this year, She Holds Up the Stars has received eight Dora Mavor Moore Award nominations. A powerful Indigenous story of beauty, resilience, and belonging, the production brings Laronde’s novel to life through puppetry, movement, live music, and visual storytelling.
Hosted by the CBC’s Aparita Bhandari, the conversation will offer audiences a rare look inside Laronde’s creative process and artistic vision, enhanced by imagery and puppets from the production.
