Sinfonia Toronto’s November concert packs four centuries and three continents into one extraordinary evening.
On November 5th, the orchestra welcomes violinist Irmina Trynkos, hailed by BBC Music Magazine as “an intense and charismatic new star” for the Toronto premiere of Claudia Montero’s Violin Concerto, winner of a Latin Grammy. A composition born in South America, performed in Toronto for the very first time, by a soloist whose debut CD with the Royal Philharmonic became NAXOS’ best-seller.
The program spans four centuries and three continents: from Weinberg’s lyrical Concertino and Mozart’s elegant Divertimento to the Canadian premiere of Sharafyan’s Theatrical Suite and Warlock’s irresistible Capriol Suite. Maestro Nurhan Arman leads throughout.
Tickets from $20 (students) · $35.40 (seniors) · $45.20 (adults). Single tickets on sale June 1 at sinfoniatoronto.com.
