Curtains open and close, revealing scenes of spellbinding surrealism where the unexpected unfolds at every turn. As dancers move across the stage, reality begins to blur—are you witnessing a dream or a nightmare? Theatre of Dreams pulls audiences into a surreal, unpredictable world where imagination and subconscious collide.
Choreographed by Hofesh Shechter, the work blends intricate movement with an electronic sonic score infused with elements of jazz and bossa nova, creating a soundscape as dynamic and surprising as the dancers themselves. Exploring the chaos of our subconscious, hopes, and fears, the piece offers a mirror into the psyche of humanity—every movement resonating with emotion, rocked to your core by the music.
With lighting design by long-time collaborator Tom Visser, witness a dreamlike world come alive, where what you expect is constantly overturned and imagination takes center stage.
Astonishingly beautiful. Constantly inventive. Utterly engaging.
