Leslie Grove Gallery is pleased to host a self-portrait exhibition, from August 19 to 30, 2026. We invite you to join the celebration as our Artists’ Network members show us who they are, inside and out. For many artists, a self-portrait runs deeper than external features. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons Van Gogh painted over 40 self-portraits, Frida Kahlo created more than 50, Emily Carr produced about 6, while Gustav Klimt painted only one in his entire lifetime. The self-portrait lets artists reveal themselves authentically to the world, and provide deeper insights into their art. Gallery hours: Wednesday to Sunday 12-5 PM. Opening reception will take place on Thursday, Aug 20 6:00-8:00 PM. There will be a short juror’s talk and awards will be announced during the opening.
