In this immersive TFS Summer Academy, participants work with Toronto Film School instructors to explore the craft of acting in a supportive, hands-on environment. You’ll develop foundational skills including character work, script analysis, blocking, stagecraft, and camera awareness while learning how to be authentic and truthful in a role.
Guided by experienced industry professionals, you’ll prepare scenes for both live performance and industry-standard self-tapes, building confidence, control, and expressive range. This week-long Acting Academy offers an introductory look at the same practical, industry-focused training delivered in Toronto Film School’s full-time Acting for Film, TV and Theatre Diploma Program.
***Applicants must be entering Grade 11 or 12 and be 17 or younger at the academy’s end.
