WSP’s showcase production – “With a Song in My Heart” – runs for four matinees and four evening performances Saturday May 2, Sunday May 3, Tuesday May 5, Wednesday May 6, Thursday May 7, Friday May 8, Saturday May 9 and Sunday May 10 at VideoCabaret, Queen St E at Logan Ave. The show features eight established Canadian music theatre stars: Trish Adams (A Chorus Line; 42nd Street), Lisa Atkinson (Sweeney Todd; Music of the Night), Mark Cassius (Ragtime; Cats; The Nylons), Michael Donald (Crazy for You; Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), Gretchen Helbig (Phantom of the Opera; The House of Martin Guerres), Janelle Hutchison (Les Misérables; Handmaid’s Tale), Cassel Miles (Josiah; Fosse), Jeffrey Prentice (A Chorus Line; Cabaret). The show is produced and directed by Lesley Ballantyne (Dora Mavor Moore Award winner; past Artistic Director of the Muskoka Festival Theatre), Associate Director Mark Candler (Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, 42nd Street), with Musical Direction and wonderful arrangements by Kieren MacMillan (Musical of Musicals: The Musical, Fairy Tale Ending).
