Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

A world of pure imagination awaits as Charlie, Grandpa Joe and four golden ticket-winners embark on a journey brimming with chocolate rivers, gumdrop trees and cocoa-loving Oompa Loompas.

Based on the beloved novel by Roald Dahl, now celebrating its 60th anniversary, enjoy this delightfully scrumptious musical adaptation that brings to life all of your favourite characters, songs – and confections. A gobstoppingly good time for the whole family!

Directed by Thom Allison (Stratford Festival’s La Cage Aux Folles and Rent; YPT’s Mary Poppins), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory features an original score and lyrics, as well as songs from the classic 1971 film including “Candy Man”, “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket”, “Oompa Loompa Song” and “Pure Imagination”.

Please note that the view may be partially obstructed, depending on the set design of the play and the height of the individual attending the performance. First Saturday Savings - Nov. 16 at 2PM $20 tickets for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Pay-What-You-Wish (PWYW) Performance - Nov. 17 at 11AM PWYW tickets are available online, via phone or in person at the Box Office from 10AM on the day of the performance only (maximum 4 tickets per person; suggested contribution $10 each). Rush Tickets Rush tickets – $20 (plus fees and taxes) – are available at the YPT Box Office one hour before show time on the day of the performance.
