More souvlaki than you can shake a stick at will be sold at this weekend’s 13th annual Taste Of The Danforth , but there’s a lot more to the foodie street festival than greasy Greek grub.

Indian trat Sher-E-Punjab (351 Danforth, at Hampton, 416-465-2125) will be offering samosas alongside chicken curry with rice ‘n’ chickpeas, while Ouzeri (500A Danforth, at Carlaw, 416-778-0500) will be doing its famed rosemary-laced lamb pie. The Auld Spot (347 Danforth, at Hampton, 416-406-4688) shucks live oysters, and the Big Carrot (348 Danforth, at Jackman, 416-466-2129) goes strictly organic with pakoras, fruit smoothies and watermelon slices. A little further east, O’Reilly’s pub (804 Danforth, at Woodycrest, 416-462-2605) gets in on the act with a Brit-style banger sandwich, while the Motorama Diner (862 Danforth, at Jones, 416-461-6968) plays it safe with old-school hot dogs.
