Running through Sunday (September 27), the second annual Havana Cultura Festival promises a cornucopia of Cuban booze, music and food. Among the participants, late-night boîte Poutini’s House of Poutine (1112 Queen West, at Beaconsfield) will be giving a Cuban kick to fries topped with frijole-style spicy black beans, peppers and sour cream Friday and Saturday night till 3:30 am, while Corinna Mozo’s swanky Delux (92 Ossington, at Humbert, 416-537-0134) will offer her acclaimed Cubano grilled ham ‘n’ cheese sandwiches to go until 11 pm for $10. Up and running

The home of awesome Aussie-style bacon cheeseburgers dressed with runny eggs, grilled pineapple and pickled beets, Cabbagetown’s Gourmet Burger Company (482 Parliament, at Carlton, 647-344-5103) launches its first spinoff Monday (September 28) in the space next to 7 West (9 Charles West, at Yonge, 647-351-6408).

Closer downtown, Smoke’s Poutinerie (203 Dundas East, at George, 416-603-2873) goes the late-night route with a just-opened second outpost aimed at the Ryerson set. Watch for a third Smoke’s at 578 Queen West, at Bathurst, later in the fall.
