What We’re Drinking Tonight
Sauza Hornitos Blanco
Sauza is one of the most important historical names in tequila. The founder, Don Cenobio Sauza, is credited with singling out blue agave as the best variety for making tequila and was the first to call it mezcal di Tequila after the tiny town in Jalisco where it was distilled. It’s claimed that Sauza was the first to export tequila, seeding what would become a billion-dollar industry well over a century later. The Hornitos line, made from 100 per cent blue agave, offers great value, especially if cocktails are your primary concern. The citrus-driven, peppery blanco is made for a Cinco de Mayo margarita-fest.
