Toronto’s Best Cold Comfort Bar

Masochistic enough to pursue a chill even more enduring than what nature provides eight months of the year? Hit up the city’s only sub-zero bar. There’s a small entrance fee (because really, those hydro bills must be horrific) that also covers the cost of gloves and a cozy, Canadian-made parka. Annual memberships are available for those who really love the cold. Gimmicks aside, the coolest (pun absolutely intended) thing about Chill is its ability to shape-shift: the decor and ice sculptures change frequently to align with cultural events. For those struggling to drink fast enough to fend off discomfort, there’s a heated bar tucked in the back.

Hours Wednesday to Sunday 5 pm to midnight. Available Monday and Tuesday for private events.

Access No barrier at the entrance, washrooms on main floor.
