As wonderfully old-school as it would be to whip it out every time I stumble upon a star scoop, a BlackBerry is a bit more practical for covert celeb-spotting reportage (“Oh no, paranoid Hollywood publicist, I’m just texting myself a reminder to water the garden when I get home”). Maybe I can make like an out-of-town film-fester and get away with scribbling in the classic notebook line’s Toronto city planner.
