BEADLE 1582A Dundas West, 416-850-7390, www.beadlestore.com Rating: NNNNN

Good things come in small packages, especially at Dundas and Brock accessories shop Beadle. Cherie Lunau’s boutique is barely 10 feet wide but packs in a full lineup of similarly dainty handbags, paper goods and other bits and baubles.

The baubles are Lunau’s own Beadle line, which began as a collection of jewelled hair sticks and bobby pins but now includes necklaces and cocktail rings accented with her signature polymer clay beads inlaid with sparkly accents. They pop in the all-white space next to Pink Frosting’s eye-candy button pairs, and Natty Bags’ vintage purses and clutches updated with streaks of acrylic paint.

To accent your home, Joy Pottery makes palm-sized clay vessels and French-style butter pots. Cards by Cass incorporate photos into one-of-a-kind greetings, and Mary Speer’s bibs and plush cubes are collaged together with scraps of colourful reclaimed fabric.

Beadle picks: Lunau swears by the all-natural Ekasha line of soaps, whose pastel bars come flecked with poppy seeds and calendula petals, $5/bar Dervish Cards’ Valentines hang a heart ornament in a window surrounded by colourful paper scraps, $6 a Beadle necklace is assembled with lime aluminum chains, grassy glass beads and green clay roll-ups, $47.

Look for: The Fabienne Good wallet collection made from tightly woven plastic bags.

Hours: Friday and Saturday noon to 6 pm, Sunday noon to 5 pm or by appointment.
