The 5 gigabyte Rio Carbon gives the iPod Mini something to shiver about. With 25 per cent more hard drive space, a cheaper price tag, a 20-hour battery and an ultra-thin design that’s slightly wider than a business card, it aims to make Apple shake in its booties. The only downside is that it’s not an iPod Mini and therefore doesn’t come with the patented white iPod earbuds that make discman owners feel bad about themselves.
