Bullfrog and Limitless

BULLFROG AND LIMITLESS 366 Adelaide East, 416-366-5288. limitless-toronto.com/

You might be moved by the contemporary furniture at this new decor-district spot, but you’ll be moving it, too. The common threads between the lines carried by Bullfrog and Limitless are convertibility and motion. TV stands spin 360 degrees, arms on chairs drop down and sofa backs recline.

The ultimate expression of the modular MO is a leather-upholstered Bullfrog piece that manager Brad Karsh calls “the sex chair.” Arm, back and leg panels angle and pivot, creating a comfy platform for a Kama Sutra’s worth of pretzel positions. It sits on four spring-loaded legs, adding a little motion-of-the-ocean jiggle.

Bullfrog is German, and Limitless hails originally from Holland, but the Toronto showroom, carved out of the former Montreal Bistro space, is the only place in North America to source these shaky collections.

Bullfrog and Limitless picks: Black acrylic side panels give the Dolphin chair a see-through look, $713 white ribbon is suspended in the clear plastic of an angular magazine rack, $431 stack up rotating cube shelves, customizable with different wood and leather finishes, $585.

Look for: Tree floor lamps made from backlit pieces of gnarly bark.

Hours: Monday to Wednesday 10 am to 6 pm, Thursday and Friday 10 am to 7 pm, Saturday 11 am to 6 pm, Sunday noon to 5 pm. limitless-toronto.com/
