For the second year in a row, celebrity guests taping spots for George Stroumboulopoulos Tonight will get to shop the CBC’s Made In Canada lounge stocked with Toronto-sourced swag from names like Avril Loreti, Biko, Cromwell and Cruthers, Ela Handbags and Ron White Shoes.
There are also Umbra home accessories, Tosca Delfino swimwear, Bobette and Belle treats and oodles more freebies.
Beauty book
This one’s for the beauty junkies. On Tuesday, The Bay launched its own digital catalogue of makeup, fragrances and skincare. Beauty the Guide features clickable editorials and market features that link to the department store’s expanded selection of e-shopable cosmetic buys. The first edition includes content for fellas too including style tips from designer John Varvatos.
New label
Menswear designer Paul Kellendonk debuted his menswear line Noble Grey last night at Mankind Grooming. The spring collection includes collarless shirting with selvedge edge sleeves, short suits and suede accents. The event also marked the launch of the line’s e-commerce site where fall’s military coats and plaid banker button-ups are now available.
Sidewalk sale
Queen West between University and Bathurst will be packed this Saturday (September 10) for the neighbourhood’s second annual sidewalk sale.
