Fritz Cares

On Monday night, Fritz Helder and the Phantoms hosted a premiere party for the band’s new Lagerfeld Lady video at Strangelove on College Street.

FLARE editor Lisa Tant, designers Jeremy Laing and Nada Sheherd, Holt Renfrew fashion coordinator Natalie Lecomte and a roomful of other fashion and Helder fans came out to watch the video filmed in Paris and Toronto .

JakandJil.com‘s Tommy Ton was there too, taking a break from sewing together Fritz and co.’s stage costumes for this weekend’s Fashion sCares fundraiser. The group will be opening the show and Ton admitted that his clothing concept, inspired by sci-fi film The Fifth Element and artist Damien Hirst’s diamond skull, proved to be a bit over ambitious for the gala’s own backstage team to take on themselves.
Decadent fashion is a tradition at the AIDS Committee of Toronto‘s annual fundraiser which returns to the Metro Convention Centre on Saturday. We’ll see if the night’s other headliners including Kreesha Turner, Katy Perry and Shirley Bassey can match the haute look of the House of Helder?
Fashion sCares guests are encouraged to dress stylish and/or spooky too but if your Friday night spent trick or treating or Halloween house party hopping equals a Saturday night in binging on Tootsie Rolls and mini Mars bars, you can still do your part for the cause. Visit the Fashion sCares’ Auctionwire page to bid on travel packages, MAC makeup and designer clothing.
