Having spent so much time indoors during the pandemic, we also might be running a little low on vitamin D, so getting out there could provide a healthy injection – for your immune system and your mental health.
Still, that doesn’t mean there isn’t any risk with unprotected sun exposure. With summer comes sun tans but also sun burns, dehydration, peeling, the list goes on. The millions of Canadians experiencing chronic skin conditions are particularly at risk.
So there’s a lot to consider when it comes to not only the health risks but how to protect yourself – even if it is just for a socially distanced walk down the street.
