Idris Elba is known for a laundry list of things including having a top tier career as an actor.
However, one thing the British actor can’t seem to get right is faking a good Canadian accent.
In fact, he was recently put to the test during an interview with ET Canada in London, Ontario where he was promoting his new Apple TV+ series “Hijack.”
During the interview, Elba tried his hand at the northern accent but failed to hit the mark.
“Oh yeah. Canadian, oh yeah,” Elba said.

“Mans I’ve never been to… I can’t even do it,” he said, quickly giving up.
No love was lost because Elba made it clear how much he loves Canada, considering his wife, Sabrina Elba, is also Canadian.
“Shout-out Toronto, Canada. You know, I love you. Every time I come to Canada, I get a lot of love so big up.”
