Julie Moon is fast becoming one of Toronto’s most popular potters, with whimsical, clay-based works like body-shaped china lamp bases and ceramic orbs with pursed red lips. Moon’s faceless dolls ($155 to $700) are part of UpCountry‘s (310 King East, 416-777-1800) Art 101 Child’s Play show, which opens Saturday (November 4). And just in time for Remembrance Day, her red-glazed poppy pins are on sale at le gallery (1183 Dundas West, 416-532-8467) for $18 to $40 a portion of proceeds are donated to the Royal Canadian Legion.
