Kepo cares

Our fifth and final gift guide hits newsstands tomorrow with a shortlist of last minute buys for all those better-late-than-never-type holiday shoppers.

You can pop that present into a bag and tie a gift tag to its handle (we suggest Schoolyard’s recycled paper tags in the last minute guide) or you can make up for your procrastination by picking out a perfect holiday card.

Hand made in Toronto Kepo cards are our favourite option because $1 from every card purchase is being donated to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Kepo founder Drew Nelson came up with the concept after reading Mike Smith’s “Don’t give us your hungry” piece in NOW’s July 10 issue.

Evergreen, gingerbread house and holiday-neutral wrapped presents pop out of recycled paper cards available in packs of six with envelopes for $20 at kepo.ca.

Delivery at this late date might be a little last minute, but you’re used to that sort of thing.
