FriendsWithYou artists Sam Borkson and Arturo Sandoval are filling Queen’s Park with bounce houses and their surreal cast of Wish Come True characters from June 16 to 20 for Luminato. But if five days of the Rainbow King and friends isn’t enough for you, contemporary art and multiples store Magic Pony is running a Wish Come True Pop-Up shop from today (Thursday, June 10) until July 4.

Owners Kristin Weckworth and Steve Cober collaborate with the Miami-based duo to create a Wish Come True world at the back of their Queen West boutique. It’s stocked with figures, charms, prints and other products, plus a showcase of the artists’ early plush and wood characters.

The Friends With You line has been available at the store since it opened eight years ago in a second-floor space across the street from its current location. Back then, Weckworth and Cober focused on importing international work to Toronto, but today local names like Team Macho and Nicholas Di Genova are well represented.
