WHO Miss Gaylene, film facilitator and commentator.

WHEN March 6, 2002.

WHERE Cafe Diplomatico.

CLOTHES “I got my shoes at Mountain Equipment Co-op (400 King West, 416-340-2667) for $150, my jeans-and-sweater ensemble is from the Gap for $50 (375 Queen West, 416-591-3517, and others), my inside jacket came from Kensington Market for $20 (I don’t remember where), and my coat was $40 at Stella Luna (1627 Queen West, 416-536-7300).”

STYLE “You got me in conservative work attire today, but I am totally inspired by 1970s movie style legends a little Al Pacino in Serpico, a touch of Shelley Duvall in The Shining and lashings of Irene Cara in Sparkle.”

INTO “Releasing the rapumentary Raisin Kane across Canada in April with live open-mike music events in cinemas, reading and dreaming about South America.”
