Apple’s flash-based music player, the iPod Shuffle, looks great, comes cheap and is about the size of a pack of gum, but it has no friggin’ display to see what song’s playing! An “autofill” function chooses random songs from your iTunes software and packs them into the unit, completely confusing you as to what songs you just left your apartment with. This product compares with first-generation mp3 players launched six years ago by other companies, proving that you don’t have to build a time machine to get an old, tired product.
