Clothing: “My five-year-old pinstripe pants a were made for me by a friend, Paul Schofield. I find that a boot cut is the most flattering, and I tend to stick with it. My side-zipped leather vest is something I designed for myself 15 years ago. It was made at Leathercraft (586 Yonge, 416-924-5018). George and Gina have always been great to me. The striped shirt is something I found at Value Village a while ago (924 Queen East, 416-778-4818, and others). My zip-up boots are last season’s Miu Miu I bought them at Corbo Boutique for $240 (131 Bloor West, 416-928-0954). That’s also where my $800 black jacket is from, part of a suit by Costume National. I deal with Serge when I go in there. My watch is an old Tudor that my father, Harry, left me. My three silver rings are through Alessandra Nardini, whose friend Tracey brought them back from India.”
Hair: “I have limited options with my hair, but I usually get it cut by Len at his salon, Bloom (100 Scollard, 416-515-8676).”
My Style: “Component dressing for the long haul. I tend to go for the same shapes and cuts so I can mix stuff from years ago with new pieces.”
Into: “The X Show opens tonight (Thursday, December 9) from 7 to 10 pm at my gallery and runs till December 23. Ten artists for all your holiday needs. Then we pack up shop for the next location. Watch for the opening in spring 2005.”
