Pop ups 4 kidz

The retail space at 198 Walnut around Queen and Niagara has become a magnet for pop up shops. Local brands and retailers like Label, 18Waits and Chloe Comme Parris have all moved into the storefront recently for short terms stays to move some merch.

Its newest temporary tenant is Summerhill kids shop Advice From a Caterpillar, which launched its first off-site sale there yesterday. On offer is stylish clothing for young ones aged newborn to six years from adorably named labels like Petit Bateau, Imps+Elfs, Bonton, Lili and the Funky Boys and Album di Famiglia, all priced at up to 80 per cent off.

The sale continues until April 22 but for the first five days, Advice from a Caterpillar’s uptown neighbour The Narwhal will also be on site selling grownup-sized womenswear by Rag & Bone, Acne, Helmut Lang and more.

Back on the kids clothing beat and just a few blocks east on Queen Street, Mini Mioche has also launched a pop up outlet store in the former Buckler space (700 Queen West). Everything in the shop including footwear is under $30 until April 29.
