Style Notes: Philip Sparks is onward and westward

Onward and westward

It’s always great to hear news of a Canadian label expanding. Popular menswear designer Philip Sparks of Tailored Goods Inc. closed his Ossington store on March 14 to open a newer, bigger shop in the Junction (130 Cawthra, 647-348-1827, philipsparks.com) on Thursday (March 19). The 2,000-square-foot space will have ample room for Sparks’s core collection of jackets and trousers, along with a lineup of accessories and made-to-measure models.

It must be grand opening season

More good news from Canadian furniture and decor retailer Urban Barn. The company reopens its Leaside location (65 Wicksteed, 416-696-2552) on Saturday (March 21). Check out Suite Life for some extra interior design inspiration before you shop.

Handmade with love

One of our favourite destinations to discover unique local products is back. The One Of A Kind Spring Show And Sale returns to the Direct Energy Centre (100 Princes’) from March 25 to March 29.

Over 450 Canadian artisans and makers show off their goods alongside style presentations and fashion shows. Adults tickets are $12 online.
